Njie B The Conquerer (The Gambia)
Bakary Njie (Njie B The Conqueror) was born on 22nd March 1982 in Farafenni, North Bank Division of The Gambia, West Africa. He attended Farafenni Primary School, at the age of 11 he went to Kinagi Junior School and then to Farafenni High School. It was at Kinagi Junior, a missionary school that his passion for singing took off. Shortly after Njie B realised that singing was his destiny.

One day as he sat with his Dad having a chat, he told his Dad his passion for music and his Dad said “Well your grandfather was a singer”. Since then Bakary took it seriously. In 2003 he went to see a friend on a voluntary mission (Peace Corps) from America, and told her about his passion.

She said, “Why not sing a song about Aids, or H.I.V. awareness?” He went away and wrote 9 songs, in 3 different languages. He took them to the Peace Corps office; they listened and said the songs were impressive.

He was later introduced to the National Aids Officer as they were impressed with the message and they decided to sponsor the production of the album. This was his first album and was called “Ignorance”. Since then Njie B continued to write and produce his own music through the help of Hakim from the Suns of Light label.

Between 2003 and 2004 Njie B released his second album with Suns of Light, “See Deem Coming.” This was the breaking point and the album became a national hit. People began to say they could hear Bushman and Luciano but no, it was the rise of a new star from the land of Kunta Kinteh. It did not take long before the big companies began to scramble to have his voice on their adverts. The winner was Africell, a leading telecommunications company who sponsored most of his albums and live gigs. Njie B has performed with some of the biggest names in the Reggae music like Frankie Paul, Buju Banton, Junior Kelly, and Morgan Heritage, at the National stadium of The Gambia. It was one of those performances that Frankie Paul saw and he decided to have a track made with Njie B which can be found on his third album “Praise Jah”.

In 2007 Njie B travelled to the UK and recorded his fourth album in Birmingham, this album is called “True African”. He visited a few Radio stations to promote the album one of them was the London based, Roots FM with Daddy Ranks on the Musical Heat Wave show. Njie B is back in The Gambia. He continues to write lyrics and record tracks.

Wash Inc. (The Netherlands)
Wash Inc. is the a brandnew Dutch rocksensation. One year ago formal members of Kev Black and The Muffdivers (Rockabilly / Surf) and Gee@ngel decided to start up a new project called Wash Inc.

This chemistry of very talented musicians have resulted in a bunch of catchy rocksongs and a few ballads. Groovy rythemns, dirty guitarlicks and raw vocals have turned this band in a massive rockmachine!

Wash Inc. is the official Dutch ambassador of the BYFF.
