Artist T. Smallz Joined To Support BYFF


We are very proud to announce that T. Smallz has joined to support the Build Your Future Foundation! Some extra background information about this talented and young Gambian artist!

Born Ebrahim Suso the grand son of the late Alieu Suso... The best Cora maker and player in the Gambia... Smallz grew up in a music family and grab his talent at a very tender age.. smallz says... I waked up every morning and find musical instruments all ova the place so i start playing them every day.. so is not today this is from birth yaw...

I found my family doing music ma grand father may his soul rest in peace use to teach us how to play the cora, the jembeh, ballafone you jus name them... But i think i am blessed in a diffrent way so i mix what i got here with the hip hop flavour to show the world what this is all about... cuz can go with my culture....... so to add up to it... i try to take it to the higher level... international.... so the world kul kno about it.....

Smallz show up to the music biz when he did a joint with the Famous Brain Storm member called Gk.... This joint called ''we'r Back'' quickly became an air play all ova te radios in the Gambia. As time goes on he became a member of the Third World Connection which he formed along side Mo bangz. They came up with good songs like.. Its Ma Hood.. Third World..Gambian Party..

Currently in the Gambia he is now going solo... But teamed up with Njie B the Gambia's reggae Ambasador to form the Szion Yard Family...

This Foundation was born in June 2008. It is a youth development establishment which looks at the developmental projects of youths in the Gambia and the world at large. It promotes the millennium development goals (MDGs) and education for all.
The foundation shall require funds from well wishers, friends, and philanthropists world wide. It requires the support of the government of the Gambia, the secretary of state for basic and secondary education and also secretary of state for youth, sports and culture.

Why the Build Your Future Foundation (BYFF) was created

- Because BYFF is convinced that young people wish to have an assured future and education, peace, freedom and justice are among the chief guarantees that their desire for happiness will be fulfilled.

 

- BYFF is influenced by the African Youth Charter and the Gambia National Youth Policy and Plan of Action.

 

- BYFF is convinced that the youths contribute immensely to national development and can serve as catalyst for positive and progressive sustainable human development and promotion of peace.

 

- BYFF recognized the fact that youths of the Gambia account for majority of the Gambian population and are the most active in any development agenda.

 

- BYFF Affirms that music is a human language and a means for educating and promoting peace and solidarity.

 

- BYFF believes that youths need to empower themselves and engaging in social voluntary organizations for the furtherance self development and self reliance.

 

- This triggered the establishment of a youth development organization which shall be called Build Your Future Foundation here referred to as (BYFF). It shall be a charity association directed towards the main development of education, music and environment projects.

 

- BYFF will take concern for youths and identify with their problems in the areas of illiteracy and unemployment, drug and substance of abuse, sexual immorality with resultant sexually transmitted diseases and teenage pregnancy, lack of discipline and idleness, illegal migration to western countries.

 

- The organization is a non partisan, non profit making, charitable and voluntary organization for youths in The Gambia.
